We foster a deep connection with our community of families.

Bright SPARK Learning is an innovative drop-off learning center where children thrive in a unique educational environment, supported by experienced, dedicated educators and engaged families. We encourage authentic relationships built on trust and supported by age-appropriate socio-emotional guidance. Parents are an integral part of our community, supporting their children's learning journey through regular communication with educators and participation in special events. Although this is a secular program, we are located in a classroom and courtyard that is part of a small church nestled on a quiet street in Eastside Costa Mesa.

About us.

Julianne Jaksch

Founder, Director & Lead Teacher

Julianne, a former attorney and mother of four, discovered her true calling in education as her eldest daughter neared the age of kindergarten. This experience inspired her to earn a Master of Arts in Education and establish her unique learning center. Julianne's diverse background includes completing a semester in Waldorf Grades Teacher Training at the Waldorf School of Orange County.

Driven by a passion for nurturing independent, well-rounded learners, Julianne is particularly enthusiastic about teaching children to read. She employs evidence-based methods, embracing the science of reading and systematic phonics instruction to ensure each child develops strong literacy skills. This approach, combined with her belief in RIE principles, forms the foundation of her educational philosophy.

Julianne's commitment to respect as the cornerstone of all relationships—with both children and adults—creates an environment where trust flourishes and learning thrives. Her multifaceted experience and dedication to proven educational methods make Bright SPARK Learning a place where children are empowered to become self-motivated, confident readers and learners.
